Snack Well with Trail Mix

When you’re feeling “hangry” (hungry + angry), it’s helpful to have a go-to snack that is full of nutrition and is satisfying! You’ve probably heard recommendations to reach for a handful of nuts between meals to keep hunger at bay, but we’re taking that a step further with trail mix.

Store-bought versions can often contain added sugar, salt and preservatives, so why not try tossing together a batch of your own fresh mix? Here are some popular, tasty combos we love:

Fall Fusion
1 cup diced dried apples
1 cup diced dried pears
1 cup diced dried figs
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 1/2 cups unsalted raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Chocolate Power Mix
1 cup dried bananas
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup pepitas
1/4 cup cacao nibs or dark chocolate morsels

Tropical Trail
2 cups sliced dried peaches
1 cup dried blueberries
1 cup sliced dried mango
1/2 cup shelled pistachios
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts
