Food Safety Practices

At CulinArt, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, healthful and sanitary environment for our team members and guests. Our goal is to operate at levels beyond the expectations of local health departments across the country.

Key components of our food safety practices include:

  • Mandatory monthly Safety Training and Development workshops.
  • ServSafe certification accredited by the National Restaurant Association. CulinArt has registered ServSafe Instructors located in all of our geographic areas.
  • A nationwide partnership with Shoes For Crews, a leading provider of safety footwear for the hospitality industry.
  • Ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Striving for excellence in internal and external team member safety and food safety and sanitation inspections.
  • Oversight by our Director of Food Safety in all initiatives and programs.
  • Regional safety coordinators who help implement and qualify all safety initiatives.
  • Partnership with Travelers Insurance for risk assessment inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they arise.

Our dedication to food safety starts with selecting and purchasing foods from approved and highly qualified vendors who are regulated by federal, state and local laws. Our food products are fresh and thoroughly inspected by our vendors before delivery, and then by our team members before preparing and serving.

At both the management level and associate level, our team members are trained in ServSafe/HACCP procedures, which include proper temperature control (receiving, cooking, cooling and serving), storage and personal hygiene.
