STONY BROOK, N.Y., May 20, 2022— Food Management magazine has included the dining services operation at Stony Brook University in its 2022 Power Players listing of the 41 best college dining programs in the United States.
The magazine focused on how the programs entered the Spring 2022 semester by resuming traditional operation following the pandemic. It also looked at recently added venues, offerings, and emerging trends in spotlighting the programs.
At SBU, these include the debut of Kickin’ Chickin, which offers signature chicken sandwiches; Chef Jet’s Modern Asian Kitchen; Tadka–Essence of India; and La Olla, which offers which offers Dominican, Puerto Rican, and other Latin American cuisines. The operation was also cited for its use of technology including Nutrislice, contactless payment, and QR codes to access menus.
