The CulinArt-managed dining services operation at Cambridge School of Weston, in Weston, Mass., is now a Center of Excellence. It is CulinArt’s second CFE-certified account and our first independent school to earn the distinction.
CulinArt has managed dining services at CSW since 2013 and worked with the school earlier this year, following a five-year contract renewal, to renovate and upgrade its main student dining center. The renovation included the addition of new stations such as a noodle bar and panini station, as well as Nutrislice Spotlight technology, which provides ingredient and allergen details at the point of service.
Chef Manager Jim Boyd, who took over in 2021, oversees a staff of nine, including:
Asst. Manager: Alida Caceres
Sous Chefs: Tim DePrisco, Mirella Mejia
Prep Cooks: Aura Aguilar, Sandra Barriosnuevo, Pedro Gonzalez, Brandon Pocon
Food Service Workers: Armando Edwards, Phiola Philippe
“The team played a big part in getting the contract renewal with the relationship that they have built with the faculty and students,” Boyd says.
Centers of Excellence are utilized to train frontline and salary associates to provide consistency and strengthen job performance results. Congratulations to the CSW team and District Manager Vlad Furman on this achievement!
