Wellness

img-wellnessOur wellness initiatives. We encourage our customers to maintain a healthy lifestyle – one that is holistic and incorporates balanced food choices, regular exercise, and an overall attention to living well. Our wellness approach is fundamentally based in education. Whether you are extremely knowledgeable about best choices, or are first embarking on a journey of well-being, our team of regional registered dietitians can help guide and inform on the many options available daily in our cafés. Our innovative wellness initiatives are constantly evolving, and we strive to partner with our clients to provide solutions that are customized and speak to the target audience at each locale. Some of our signature programs include:

  • Eat Well: recipes that incorporate whole, naturally flavorful and nutritious foods prepared with healthful cooking methods. These dishes also meet strict nutritional parameters, taking USDA guidelines into account – while never sacrificing taste or our “food first” philosophy.
  • 500 Calories-or-Less: meal selections that are delicious and calorie-controlled.
  • A bi-monthly newsletter and social media presence with inspirational tips and tricks on how to eat and live well.
  • Ongoing staff education and training programs that support healthy cooking principles to deliver meals with fabulous flavor and nutrition.
  • National Nutrition Month promotions that are geared towards healthy living.
  • Annual café visits that focus on timely nutrition trends and incorporate “Lunch and Learns,” on-site consultations, and café tours.
  • A host of additional educational activities that focus on helping our guests become their healthiest, such as farmer’s markets, on-site fitness center collaborations, special dietary needs workshops, and more.
  • An icon menu system (Eat Well, 500 Cal, Vegan, Vegetarian) to denote foods with particular nutritional qualities.
  • A dedication to sourcing fresh, seasonal, local, and organic when possible and/or requested.

What our clients are saying

“I just wanted to express my thanks and give two thumbs up for the updates to our lunch menu. My selections have been quite tasty—corned beef Reuben, jambalaya—and I appreciate that, too! I am looking forward to trying some new items in the coming weeks. Keep up the good work!”

“This has been a year of unprecedented uncertainty, but through it all, Denee, chef Darby, Samantha, and the whole CulinArt team, provided the best dining experience the school has had in my thirteen year tenure.  It was an absolute pleasure to work with them, and I can't wait for next year when the craziness of COVID brings everyone back into the dining hall for meals. We look forward to working with Denee, Chef Darby, Samantha, and the rest of the CulinArt team again next year.”

“Even though we see challenges every day, each one of you rises to the occasion and makes it seem so easy. I cannot express how impressive it is to see you all work in such a fashion. You are true professionals.”

“We appreciate the excellent service that is a hallmark of the Chadwick Culinart team. You all are such professionals - and you always deliver your service in such a pleasant manner! Thank you for everything you do to help make the Village events successful. We greatly appreciate your talents, efforts, and kindness.”

“With all the prep work from Winterim ramping up and classes continuing as usual, it's a busy time to be a Forman teacher. Imagine my delight, tired as I was, when I delved into the upscale-restaurant-quality chicken parmesan our dining hall served last night. Forman is all about support, and providing our students with a dinner of that quality is just as important a measure of support as anything that happens in a classroom.”

“I will say that CulinArt has always been a very collaborative partner to T. Rowe Price, listening to our current needs and future goals and suggesting realistic and achievable strategies to meet those goals.  2020 was obviously no exception.  CulinArt also altered other areas of our OCS and pantry programs to create safer environments for all our associates. We can only thank you for your continued flexibility and innovative ideas through these difficult times.”

“Many, and I do mean many, thanks for a great Parents Weekend.  I heard from so many happy parents and you all work very hard to make it happen.  In gratitude and kindness…”

“Thank you for including me today in the food waste demonstration/[chef competition] and flattering me with the role of “judge.” I will proudly don the [Stop Food Waste Day] apron the next time I plan an “event” in our own kitchen. I think this is a very worthwhile cause and the statistics you read off are staggering. They, alone, can intimidate a home chef, let alone be the “driver’ for a professional one.”

“Dear Chef Anthony: Hi! It’s the kids from Room 223 [and their teacher, Mrs. Smith]. We thank you for providing us with such great snacks and lunches! We know how hard you and your staff work. We have been talking as a class and we came up with some of our favorite snacks. We really love the brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and Scooby snacks. The soft pretzel bits are really good, too. Thank you again! ”

“I have really appreciated the wonderful cafeteria staff we have via Culinart and the thoughtful meals they provide our kids. They're truly one in a million. I have also really appreciated the dedication Parker and CulinArt share to sustainability and green practices on campus. I am so thankful that Parker has chosen CulinArt, a company that shares Parker values, and that they took the time and effort at such a hard time to make sure that Parker is always on the forefront of green practices and safety - never compromising.”
